The Ryzen 5800x3d was released in 2022, but the motherboard lacks the necessary micro code, leading to potential instability. I think the BIOS version is incorrect because it was last updated on 11/09/2021. It's best to update the BIOS to the latest release, irrespective of hardware modifications. Try adjusting the memory speed to 3200 and see if that resolves your problem. Personally, I have a strong dislike for Ryzen boards based on my own experience.

Sure, I've refreshed my bios. I'll give it a shot first; if not, I can lower my RAM speed instead. Thanks for the tips, I'll keep you updated!

Unfortunately no upgrades helped much. The system seems more stable now after the bios update, though it still crashes frequently each day. Every time I see a crash, the same errors appear in the event viewer and reliability monitor:
Reboot from a bugcheck 0x116.
The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm isn’t available. (DeviceVideo3 CMDre 00000001 00003ffc ffffffff 00000007 00ffffff)
I’ve also tested various display ports on my GPU to check if that fixes the issue. I also tried giving the nvlddmkm.sys file full access in the system32 folder, which you can find here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments...sh_solved/
----> (see first comment)
Any other advice? Also noticed that after a crash today, the PC restarted on its own (which isn’t unusual), but once it rebooted, all my RGB fans came back on. I disabled them in armoury crate long ago, but after this crash they were again on. Could this be a sign of something?

Following the update of the bios, did you reset the CMOS (CLRTC) on your mobo? If not, you need to do this.
You should perform the reset manually by connecting two pins labeled CLRTC at the bottom edge of your mobo.
Turn off the PC.
Disconnect all cables.
Press the power button a few times to discharge the circuit.
Remove the CMOS battery.
Connect the two pins (use a flathead screwdriver if needed) – touch the tip of the screwdriver to the pins. Do this a few times.
Reinsert the CMOS battery.
Reattach external cables.
Power on System.
After completing these steps, you’ll see a different screen. It will ask you to reconfigure the bios, which you can proceed with, then save and exit before booting up.
Let us know how it turned out.
