As mentioned before, your comment about "without any fans connected" suggests you didn’t plan to add any fans to the motherboard at all, meaning no case fans and definitely no CPU heatsink fan either. I just wanted to confirm there’s something linked to the CPU fan header that sends tachometer data, otherwise the BIOS might get confused and the system won’t start properly. Apologies if I wasn’t more clear.
A green LED generally indicates the auxiliary +5VSB power is linked to the motherboard, serving as a warning against removing components like RAM, the GPU, or the CPU while the system remains powered. It suggests disconnecting the PSU from the AC mains.
Thanks to everyone, the dead PSU was replaced and the PC is now functioning properly.
