Hi, I’ve finally gathered all the necessary components to get my PC running. Everything is connected. After leaving it plugged in overnight, one fan lights up blue while the others remain still. I attempted to reset the CMOS using a fresh battery, but the issue persists. The RAM is new and properly installed. Any advice would be appreciated!

The advertised wattage is 500W. Could you provide the model and age of the device? Removing the discrete GPU might revive the PC.

In addition to the precise PSU, the specific CPU model is also required. There are around twenty-four fourth-generation i5 processors, with roughly one-third of them not being compatible with an H81 motherboard unless a BIOS upgrade is applied.

I plan to remove the Gtx 660 TI. I think I had everything working in a previous case and arrived at the BIOS flash screen, confirming the i5 will function on this board.

I understand the i5 fits well with my board and I don’t want to take out the CPU cooler since I’m sure it works. Looking back at my early PC building experiences, I plan to connect just the 24-pin and 4-pin versions without any fans attached. My PSU is configured for 115V.

I understand the i5 fits well with my board and I don’t want to take out the CPU cooler since I’m sure it works. Looking back at my early PC building experiences, I plan to connect just the 24-pin and 4-pin versions without any fans attached. My PSU is configured for 115V.

Sorry, the issue was the BIOS splash screen instead of the flash screen. The i5 wasn't responsible; it worked fine in another case using the same board.

Verify that every connection on the front panel matches the board specifications. Ensure that any mismatches, incorrect pins, or reversed +/- signs are addressed.

If you don't plug ANY fans into the motherboard, the BIOS will think the CPU cooler fan has failed and will shut down the system. Perhaps what you meant to say was you're not plugging in any case fans?
Wow! I haven't seen a computer PSU that needs to be "set for 115V" in ages.
Is your PSU really that old?
Hopefully, it's a newer autoranging design, capable of running on any voltage between 100V and 240V, not just on a nominal 115V or 230V.
When you installed the motherboard in a new case, did you check for any metal standoffs in the wrong place? You might have a short circuit on the underside of the motherboard. That would explain the failure to POST.
I've got a bunch of old H81M-Plus socket 1150 boards myself and they're pretty ancient stuff. From the link below, I suspect the H81 chipset was released back in 2013.

There's a vague chance your board has finally given up the ghost.
If the PSU is the same vintage as the motherboard and a low quality White unit with a 1-year warranty or a mediocre Bronze with a 3-year warranty, it could be way past its "sell by date". It's the next logical item to swap out or replace.
