Using a different PC with the same display port will help determine if the issue lies with the monitor's DP or the GPU's DP.
I experimented with various methods and still faced confusion about the outcomes. I connected my monitor using HDMI and DP cables to my siblings' PC, and everything functioned properly. Then I brought my own PC to their setup and used their monitor with both HDMI and DP cables, which also worked without issues. After returning everything, I tried together again and the problem reappeared.
I experienced a comparable issue. When I started up with the display port connected (main monitor), the computer failed to boot properly. Only when I switched to HDMI on the second monitor (and unplugged the DP) did it start without issues. This issue is documented with DP. With a strong graphics card, high refresh rate, and wide-screen display, the signal arrives before the monitor can respond, so the PC doesn't recognize the screen and remains in hibernation or doesn't boot at all. As a workaround... Disable "deep sleep" on your monitor through OSD. Or attempt to turn off "fast boot" in BIOS, allowing the monitor time to process. For an initial fix, unplug the DP port on the PC and boot using only HDMI (second monitor if available). Once the system boots correctly, you can reconnect the DP. Good luck!
