I'd start with a less demanding title just to check your hardware, but more similar to Medal of Honor or Allied Assault, etc...
I installed 32 gigabytes of RAM and turned on XMP settings, which set the RAM frequency to 3200MHz.
Forza Horizon still loads in about 25 to 30 minutes.
I’m considering upgrading my graphics card from GTX970 to the 2060 Super.
My operating system runs on an SSD, and all my Steam games are stored on the spin drive, including Forza Horizon.
If I install a M.2 2TB SSD since there’s a slot available on the motherboard, would moving all my Steam games there improve performance, or should I just save and build a new PC?
It runs forza horizon 5 at 60fps and its performance matches that of all my other steam games at 60fps
Starfield demands significant resources from both CPU and GPU. It's unlikely you'll meet its baseline needs, let alone the recommended ones.
I understand what you're saying. So essentially, I'm considering a new build, otherwise I'd be spending money on my old PC!
