You probably have an extra power supply on hand, right?

I own a PC I assembled for a relative, and I may consider using it again.

I'll check if a different power supply works for the system. That seems to be the likely issue unless connections are missing or wrong.

I didn't think about it before since I put my old motherboard back in and everything worked properly.

Yeah, that's odd. I keep telling myself to give it a shot. I've experienced some really odd stuff when the PSU failed—like HDDs or SSDs not working, random crashes, boot loops, and so on. But everything usually settles down after a while.

When attempting to activate the system, you notice a clicking noise followed by silence—no illumination or background sounds. Is that sound originating from the power supply unit?

Ensure SSD and HDD aren't linked to the PSU or motherboard. Focus on CPU placement. Verify if any pins are bent or damaged. Test RAM modules one at a time in various slots. Reset CMOS after each attempt with a different slot combination.

Confirm thoroughly that all fans and connectors are properly linked. Even though the setup is safe from errors, verify everything again. Test booting without a GPU to see if it affects performance.
