I recently purchased a new motherboard and CPU. After installing them, it started up smoothly within minutes. However, it began turning on and off unexpectedly. I disassembled it and tried again, but the issue persisted. I then bought another motherboard and CPU without any differences, yet it still wouldn’t start. Anyone can assist with troubleshooting?

You have a fresh CPU and motherboard, but other components remain unchanged. It might be the power supply unit, graphics card, or another factor. A PCPartPicker.com spec list would be helpful.

Begin with a minimal setup—just a single RAM stick, main boot drive, no GPU, unmodified hardware. Check stability and performance. Gradually add components until instability appears. Keep in mind that power supply problems might cause unexpected behavior.

Except for that, there would be no video.

I've made that attempt, but it doesn't turn on at all—just produces a click when I press the power button.

You need to use your GPU since the CPU lacks built-in graphics. Have you made this adjustment?

Great question! It seems like the connection might be off or something on the power supply could be faulty. Since both your motherboard and CPU are new and show the same problem, it’s possible the PSU isn’t delivering enough power. Double-check that everything is securely inside the case and try a different power source if needed.
