I just completed assembling my new Rig, isn't this the first one I've built and so far there have been almost no problems. However, today didn't go as planned because when I turned on the PSU and pressed the power button on the case, nothing happened at all. The PSU is a Seasonic Focus GX, paired with a Ryzen 9 5900X, MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK. I've confirmed it works with the built-in PSU tester and checked the front panel connectors. RAMs have already been swapped. Could a faulty CMOS be the reason the MB doesn't light up when flipping the power switch? At least the RGB lights should function properly? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check if the PSU switch is active and verify that all connections are correctly placed.

Yes, there is a light on the power supply unit that turns on when connected to the wall outlet.

Not every motherboard comes with lights when turned on. If certain RGB lights activate upon connection, it’s likely the LEDs under the heat sink with Tomahawk engraving. At this stage, you can test your board using a different power supply. I also recalled that pressing the BIOS flashback button (located on the rear I/O shield, a small LED should blink to show no USB drive is present). This method works even without a processor or RAM installed. Good luck!
