the motherboard isn't powering up
The system activates solely if the 12V EPS port remains unplugged.
Refers to scenarios where connecting the EPS connector triggers a motherboard fault, possibly due to a dead CPU or another issue. Full specifications relate to compatibility and performance details.
The system features a Ryzen 5 3600 with an 8GB Corsair DDR4 RAM, an 800W PSU, a 1TB HDD, and a 256GB SSD. A 256GB M.2 card is available but not currently connected.
Yup, the Yutong 1050 Ti works fine when just the processor is plugged in. I left out all other parts except RAM and CPU, but the motherboard still won’t power on. When using only the 24-pin connector, the fan spins but there’s no display or processor activation.
It seems the GPU needs to be installed for the system to function properly, but it should still boot up with fans running. The CPU runs on the 12V EPS connector, and only the 24-pin connector powers the motherboard. If you don’t have both the 12V EPS and a GPU, the system won’t post at all.
