The most unsettling game you've ever played is a question.

It can feel eerie, especially if you're not paying attention and then you're suddenly hit from behind by a zombie—it's quite frightening.
Outlast, Amnesia, and possibly Slender might be on the list. You begin in a small shed among fields and must navigate while a creature chases you. I didn’t enjoy it. I generally don’t like horror titles—they rely too much on jump scares, which aren’t what I find effective.
Fatal Frame and Silent Hill mainly stem from the fact that you're relying on a camera in Fatal Frame, while Silent Hill draws inspiration from a Pennsylvania town near where I spent my childhood.
They were also amusing in a different way: /powertool smite

I've tried minesweeper before—it was awful. I can't sleep because of all the explosions
