It seems your second monitor, the BenQ GW2280, occasionally shuts off briefly and sometimes displays a "frequency error" message. This issue appears only with this monitor, not the first one connected to your laptop. I’ve noticed similar problems before with another monitor a few years ago, which led me to stop using it. I’ve also tested various HDMI cables and tried restarting graphics drivers, adjusting refresh rates, and reinstalling them. I’m still trying to figure out what else might help.

The display is linked via a straightforward HDMI to HDMI connection.

Do you have a USB to HDMI converter? Or do you own another monitor or TV that supports HDMI input? This would help determine if the issue lies with your laptop or the display. I remember you mentioned having a similar problem before, but testing it on more devices might clarify the cause. Using a USB to HDMI adapter could also verify if your notebook’s HDMI port is faulty.

I'm running tests on different monitors and my TV, so... it looks like the flashing isn't happening on my TV. I might be lying to check or keep testing for a while longer. I plan to update the testing with my laptop on the TV, another monitor, and a BenQ screen on another PC.

Monitors need faster performance and superior HDMI cables compared to TVs. Have you changed the cables already? Is the monitor able to operate above 60Hz VFR? Can your HDMI provide more than 60Hz?

Apologies for the oversight, I took some time off and forgot. I completed the tests and in both other screens, the monitors didn’t go black during use (I tested for about an hour). It seems the issue was with the display itself. I plan to swap it out for a different model (not just another copy of the same type) and hope it works fine. I’ll update once I receive and test the new one.

Avoid repeating identical specifications; they could indicate a brand configuration issue. Have you verified this isn’t a Driver Sync crash? Did you notice any error messages in the GPU driver logs?

It never completely crashed or showed any error. Just a random black screen before returning to normal.
