The latest MSFS 2024 appears impressive, and I’m eager to try it out. The performance upgrades over MSFS 2020 are notable, especially when compared to the slower downloads and installations of the previous version. On powerful PCs, getting the game installed feels seamless. Do you know if MSFS 2024 will be available for Mac or iOS? With the new game porting toolkit launched at WWDC, it seems feasible. Given Apple Silicon’s strength and the high-quality displays on modern devices, releasing MSFS 2024 for Apple platforms would be a great move. Considering the impressive capabilities of current Macs, they could handle high frame rates and advanced features like MetalFX 3. Also, what are the official system requirements for PCs?

Questioning its origin given it's a Microsoft title.

Macs have stopped being friendly for launching games because they only work with the metal GAPI. I wonder if the new development kit could even slightly sway some developers, or not at all. An iOS version isn’t worth it mainly due to storage issues. Most buyers go for the cheapest option, which usually lacks sufficient space for MFS2020 and even newer versions. You’d need a minimum of 256GB, but that’s prohibitively costly with the Apple tax and isn’t available on all devices right now.

Absolutely, during the Xbox showcase Microsoft also mentioned they plan to port numerous titles to other systems, leaving no doubt about their intentions.

I understand, but I'm focusing on native integration, such as the M4 iPad Pro's exceptional single-core speed and Tandem OLED screen.

This will encourage users to buy higher-capacity storage to run exclusive AAA titles that exceed the standard 256GB limit, increasing Apple’s revenue. Alternatively, they might adapt the content so more data is streamed, reducing the need for local storage, potentially lowering costs.

This option is suitable for Apple devices but offers no real benefit beyond reducing the player base for game publishers. Be aware that mobile platforms typically have data caps and unstable internet connections, making data streaming inconsistent. This scenario would likely occur only if a significantly reduced version exists or if an older mobile game was intentionally compact.

The availability of MSFS 2024 on Apple devices is a minor issue, as the focus shifts to upcoming titles and developer inspiration. Access to high-speed internet is essential, comparable to basic utilities, and should be consistently reliable with optimal performance. Improvements like faster fiber speeds are appreciated, but current options remain limited. For those who can afford it, investing in top-tier connectivity and devices is worthwhile.
