MicroCenter usually offers attractive offers. A budget GPU might need a fresh power supply if it stops working, possibly due to faults or other issues. I consider upgrading to something better. I’ve used the Smart series in many affordable builds, aiming for about half its rated power and never exceeding two-thirds of it. I haven’t experienced any failures, though I’d say it’s more luck than a reliable product. Your older system isn’t too outdated to work with the card, but it won’t reach its full potential. I agree with the suggestion to look for another retailer—this was more like a Geek Squad recommendation.
Have you considered what PSU options are available for the bundle you linked?
I don't have much knowledge about the MSI or ASUS branded power supplies they carry. Based on the price and my own experience, I'd suggest the Corsair RM series. The graphics card usually requests 550W or more but might settle for something like 750W. The RMe in both 750 and 850 watt versions is reasonably priced there. I think you could likely find the RM750x at a slightly lower cost elsewhere.
