1400 and 1500 are quite similar. Choose the lower price option.
They match up closely to the 3100 model. At a price range of $130-134 for the 1400/1500X, the 3100 would cost only $36-40 more. On r/CanadianHardwareSwap, note that an offer of $1700 for $140 shipped is about $6-10 higher than the 1400/1500X and roughly $30 lower than the 3100.
Just discovered this video comparing the 2600X and 1700 models. It showed the 2600X slightly ahead in 1080p, less so at 1440p and almost none at 4K when paired with a 2080Ti to maximize CPU performance. I’m curious if it’s worth paying $140 for the 2600X versus getting the 1700 for $140 plus shipping, or if it’s better to go with the 1700. The 1700 has a RGB cooler (Wraith Spire LED), while the 2600X doesn’t. Since I want a RGB cooler, I’d need to add a Prism or Max LED. Considering the price difference and features, the 1700 seems more valuable right now.
Everything you focused on is double the base number and most run at higher speeds. Each one improves eventually. 2600x 12 threads, solid performance. Typical average core overclock around 3.9ghz.
