They were $136 during late November. I forgot and ended up paying $150 in December. It's odd to me that the 3000 series is cheaper than the 2000 on Newegg. Newegg is out of stock, and most sellers there have high markups, but it's still okay.

A $150 purchase of the 2600x offers a reasonable balance, especially since you likely don’t need a powerful graphics card. Why are you thinking about the 3100? Besides some performance gains, you’re not getting much value for your investment. Interesting... I realized they originated from Canada, not realizing newegg had shipped across the border with Canadian pricing. It looks like their sales and promotions are quite different. I’m used to online stores just adjusting currency when changing country settings. Prices for Ryzen seem similar on the Canadian site, but newegg appears to be out of stock there. It seems they use separate warehouses too. Some items were discounted on one site and at full price or unavailable on the other. The most surprising thing was the Bioshock Steam key—75% off in the US but out of stock in Canada. No cross-border email communication. It appears Amazon and Newegg match prices, so once newegg restocks, Amazon should follow suit. I’m pretty sure Amazon only changes currency and ships internationally. I didn’t run into any issues the last time I tried purchasing from the Amazon EU store; the US version was out of stock there but available in Switzerland.

Just grab the 2600x version and see if you can negotiate a lower price. You don’t need much more than that. The 3100 wouldn’t be a significant improvement at all—it’d be a poor investment. It would be a waste of money. Your pricing seems quite low, and I doubt there’ll be much demand at such a discount. At least for the GTX 980 lineup, you’re offering half the price of the 980/Ti.

Searching ebay.ca for the best deal on a Ryzen 5/7 CPU (desktop only) priced around $95 USD/$134 CAD for a 1400 used from China. Reviewing Kijiji across Canada, the cheapest Ryzen overall is a 1200 listed for $70, with a 1400 available only in Saskatchewan. The next lowest Ryzen 5 is a 1500X for $130 with two options.
