Ubuntu servers running on ZFS to ZFS, performance issues reported. Speed drops around 40MB/s despite a 10Gb/s connection. Possible tuning adjustments needed. App suggestion not clear. High throughput jumps up to 200MB/s but not consistently. No Windows-to-Ubuntu problems. Outputs 400MB/s to 750MB/s—seems inconsistent. Could be compression or encryption affecting performance.

The speed relies on the protocol in use. Are you connecting via RSYNC, SAMBA (SMB/CIFS), NFS, SSH/SFTP?

Yes, a speed of 40MB/s is acceptable for me.

It's around 40MB/s in both directions. The problem isn't related to network protocols, applications, configurations, or storage speeds. It seems limited by the way the two servers interact. That's all I can figure out here. Sorry.
