Oh, well this Is a new level of OCD I don’t know if I can help with lol In 15 years of PC building I don’t think I’ve thought about USB port numbers or why that would matter even once.

Some boards without the back panel feature will include it on the board itself, allowing you to connect your front panel USB. This can be useful when troubleshooting or when a USB keyboard fails, requiring direct 2.0 support in BIOS and OS. You might consider replacing the board if that’s what you’re after. I’ve seen your comments—just looking for a better, newer model seems to be the goal. Lol (probably just joking).

Yeah, it's a real mess. I'm stuck with the Skylake 6th gen CPU, and any changes would cost me close to a thousand dollars—probably need a full rebuild. My case got damaged after I removed the side panel and didn’t like the fan, so I glued it back together. My PSU is 500 watts, which means I’d need a complete overhaul. I just got a new 1050Ti GPU, upgraded from a GTX 960—it’s slower but supports G-SYNC. I’ve spent thousands on this situation, but it’s all a bit of a headache. The keyboard is analog, so I used it as a joystick in Halo, but it doesn’t work. I spent about 250 bucks on it. I also have a $150 APC battery backup surge protector, but it doesn’t fit properly and grounding it through the coaxial cables ruins my internet speed. It’s frustrating, but I guess that’s just part of the deal. If I could just move it to someone else, I’d do it—but it’s not easy.

Well... the setup isn't bad, I suppose. The card isn't great, but SkyLake is okay. Right now I'm just looking for cores and threads. A bit of extra CPU boost helps a lot. I haven't upgraded beyond the 8th and 2nd gen Ryzen yet. Used FX regularly once, though—frame rates were terrible. But I could upgrade to 3 or 4 CPUs and fit them together. So basically, I tend to overclock a bit, sometimes for competition. The cheaper options were the best choice. For you, an A B450 board works well—covers all Ryzen versions after a BIOS update. To get the Skylake EPEE you need at least a 2600 chipset (X or non-X). You'll have the core and thread numbers, and you can upgrade to 3rd or 4th gen later if you have the money. Selling your Skylake could help balance things out—probably not thousands, just some planning. I recommended AMD because of how easy it is to upgrade. Intel does have some 10th gen models, but I think AMD is more appealing for that reason.

I really care because Windows 11 doesn’t work with my multi-core processor over 1GHz. Why would they think it’s not compatible? They just dropped the whole generation, even though it’s more powerful than newer tablets and laptops that support it.

Monopoly sounds like the name you're thinking of. TPM is a feature that's been around for a long time and nobody really cared much about it... No clear reason given. Encrypting my hardware? Is the operating system weak and unsafe? Not related to my business. I installed it without TPM. See how that affects me.

the motherboard actually allows tpm 2.0 and i enabled it in bios. i'm hoping they'll unlock all the cpus for installation. i don't want to do a forced setup since it might not work with my account.
