Hey there I recently purchased new parts for a computer build, as follows: -i3 10105f -ASUS h510M A -8Gb Crucial 2666 DDR4 -500Watt Coolermaster PSU -240Gb 2.5 inch Gigabyte SSD(i haven't connected it yet until i could get the bios) -a simple case I had a biostar rx 580 8gb from before and decided to use that(i did stress test it to make sure it's up and running) But no matter what i did, the computer wouldnt boot, it gives me the same Error Codes on the motherboard speaker: 1 really short beep, followed by 1 long beep and 3 short beeps, then after a few seconds another single beep I have tried the following: -Tried the PSU on another computer and it worked, tried my other PSU (which works elsewhere) on this computer and didnt work -Tried the GPU on another computer and it worked, tried my other GPU (which works elsewhere) on this computer and didnt work -Tried the RAM on another computer and it worked, tried my other RAM (which works elsewhere) on this computer and didnt work -Tried the CPU on another computer and it worked, but didn't have another 10th gen intel CPU to test on this computer -I gave the motherboard to warantee and they said it was perfectly fine -Tried using a pcie riser on x16 and x1 slots and didn't work -Cleared CMOS Currently i'm at a complete lost can anyone shed some light on me? This isn't the first pc i've built and i have built plenty, but i don't know why all these parts work in other systems, but don't work in this THX
Construct the build from the case. Insert RAM into each slot individually.
Failed to install. Tested three distinct RAM speeds and brands, but no slots worked.
I located this information, though it’s a bit outdated. It doesn’t mention your exact motherboard in the manual. If ASUS follows similar protocols, it could mean: no keyboard detected and no VGA detected—possibly indicating a faulty PCIe slot. Also, check for bent pins on the socket.
It's possible (though unlikely) that your GPU and board have compatibility problems. I've faced this before—some boards support other GPUs but reject certain ones. Initially I assumed the GPU was faulty, but testing on another board resolved it. If you're using a known working card, try a different one in your setup. A faulty PCI-E slot might be the cause if that's the issue here.
