So, Yeah. On that subject. I want to know what you guys think. And your opinions. Basicly im developping a game or 2 and iv been thinking about a pricing concept. Using a farely simple algorithme. As more and more copys are being bought, the price goes down for future customers. (Lets say it starts at 35$ and every 1000 (example) copies sold, the price goes down 1.25% . Then, from the deduction being given to services like steam and other. random expenses per copy (for copyrights...) 30% goes to charity. But as the price gows down, the perstantage going to charity increses to keep it at th same money worth going to charity. At a certain price, (example 15$ for te 35$ game) the price drop stops. To keep the game at a certain value What do you guys think of the concept ?
The issue is that it functions only once, specifically with pre-orders.
Logical approach. From a business standpoint, I’d adjust the cost based on how long it’s been since launch—like every month. Personally, I’m fine with paying full price for a solid game; what bothers me is the day one DLC, microtransactions, and hidden fees added on top.
