I’m going to give it a shot. I’ve never tried this before, but I’m curious—will my data and apps stay secure after updating the BIOS? @Mr. Slavic

Check if the system functioned correctly right after the RAM upgrade and after installing the new boot drive.

This should be evaluated carefully to determine if it warrants attention.

They were recently installed components. I recall they arrived with manufacturer markings.

I have a contact who runs a tiny computer repair business close by, so I’ll give him a call. I also wish there are no hardware issues, particularly with the GPU, but I suspect it might be playing a role too—maybe the RAM is affecting things as well since I purchased both separately.

I upgraded to an AIO, was it included with pre-applied thermal paste? Did you forget to take off the plastic cover before putting it in? Another possibility is a RAM incompatibility—take out the new stick and test; if that doesn’t help, examine your thermal paste on the new cooler. Those are the key areas to investigate first.

I had to apply the thermal paste on my own and I’m sure I took off the plastic label. However, I haven’t attempted removing the new RAM stick yet. I’ll give it a try.

I attempted to replace the non-original RAM stick, and now everything works perfectly again. I missed the chance to fix it earlier, which caused me a lot of frustration. I’m really embarrassed and would have preferred a different approach. Next time, I’ll go with a larger 2x8GB Corsair pack instead. Thanks for your support!
