I'm facing a major problem where I can't play most of the games I own. It affects nearly every title except TF2 and Gmod for some reason. My PC seems fine enough to run all games, but they either freeze or crash when loading them. I've tried disabling antivirus, reinstalling games, updating drivers, and checking files. A few months ago, my boot drive got corrupted, so I replaced it with a new drive. At first, everything worked perfectly—PCBS, Payday 2, GTA 5, Forza Horizon 4 ran smoothly. I upgraded my RAM recently with an 8GB stick and a fan. However, since the repair and upgrade, my PC has been unreliable and is becoming increasingly frustrating. I just want to enjoy my favorite games.

Specs:
- Ryzen 5 2600
- CPU
- PNY GeForce GTX 1660
- GPU
- OLED 16GB (2x8GB) at 3000 MHz
- RAM
- Gigabyte P550B 550W 80+ Bronze
- PSU
- ASRock A320M-A/C
- MOBO
- ADATA 256GB
- Boot drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
- HDD
- Aigo AC120
- CPU cooler

Twice six equals twelve. If a virus exists, it might be on the Seagate as well; a full reset and reinstall of Windows could assist. Consider purchasing an antivirus or trying a free trial to eliminate it. Avoid Norton and McAfee.

You can find the updates for the motherboard on the manufacturer's official website or through their support portal.

I considered it but prefer Windows 10. I’m not keen on reinstalling or logging back in all over again. Plus, there are other concerns too.

I could possibly have to do that. My display has been shutting down suddenly and coming back to normal over several months.
