Your i7-2600k is quite old, but you can still upgrade to something like the i7-4790K or i5-4690K. Just check compatibility and performance needs.

A few years old, yet not worth swapping out. It performs just as well as the 4690k and is simpler to overclock since the bigger transistors handle heat better. While newer chips come with updated features, the $300–$400 price tag for a new motherboard and I7/I5 isn’t justified.

Dying light depends heavily on IPC and needs a closer CPU connection. Your processor handles it best.
