I've been having a problem that's been bothering me for a long time, and I don't know if this is normal behavior from the graphics card or if something is wrong.
My graphics card's temperature usually ranges from 50 to 55 degrees Celsius when idle and under light use, given that I live in Egypt and the temperatures here are quite high.
The problem specifically appears as soon as I start playing some games. The temperature suddenly rises to 80 degrees Celsius for a few moments before the fans kick in. The temperature then drops to 75, then 70, then 65 degrees Celsius, and the fan speeds also drop, but everything is fine.
My question is, is this normal behavior for most graphics cards, or is there a problem with my card?
My system specs are as follows:
GPU: ASUS DUAL RTX 4070
CPU: Core I5-11400
Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix B560 G-Gaming WiFi
Case: Cooler Master MasterCase H500 Mid-Tower Case {Opened Case}
PSU: Antec New Eco 850W Gold
I just want to know if all NVIDIA cards behave this way, given that I've owned an AMD card in the past and never noticed this problem.
It is anticipated that fans will continue spinning when applying a software custom fan curve in MSI Afterburner because it turns off the 0 RPM setting (the software manages the BIOS fan control). However, you can adjust it to spin very slowly at low temperatures so you won't hear them.
If you wish the 0 RPM mode remains active, ensure the "use firmware control mode" option is checked and apply a curve accordingly (avoid more than three nodes on the firmware curve to prevent errors). To remove a node, select it and press the delete key on your keyboard. The firmware control directly applies the curve to the card's BIOS and usually preserves the silent mode.

Which variant of the H500 do you own? Mesh or non-mesh? If removing the front fascia causes your GPU temperatures to drop immediately, the issue likely lies with the case's airflow.
Checking your specs: Is the RTX 4070 an upgrade? If yes, what GPU were you using before? Based on my assumption that you changed the GPU, did you run DDU before swapping it?
Also consider undervolting your GPU.

My PC case is frequently opened.
I also reduced the voltage, and everything works under load.
But the issue arises during the initial moments of launching certain games, when the fans are off. They quickly increase to 80% for a short time at the start, then the temperature drops and the fan speeds decrease.
Is this typical behavior, or does it point to a problem with graphics cards that have only two fans?
I haven't used an Nvidia card in a long time, so I'm unsure if the driver supports this feature. If not, consider using MSI Afterburner or FanControl, and adjust the fans to spin faster than the default setting the card has. This appears to be a straightforward issue with a quiet fan curve in a hot environment, causing the fans to react slowly. Regular dust cleaning might also help prevent blockages.

When the GPU works harder, like during a game, it produces heat.
This leads to the cooling fans turning on.
However, the cooling effect isn't immediate, so both the fans and temperature will rise for some time.
By default, a GPU has a target temperature, and 80°C is often considered normal.

Your card is likely configured with a silent mode BIOS by default. My MSI 4080 follows the same setup. Without MSI Afterburner and a custom fan curve, the fans remain inactive until the temperature hits 60°C, after which they begin spinning. Based on how the default fan curve is defined in BIOS and its response to rising temperatures, it's possible the card briefly reaches 85°C before cooling down, allowing the fans to activate. This behavior isn't inherently problematic, but if you prefer a different response, you can adjust the fan curve using MSI Afterburner under the "fan" settings, as recommended in a prior suggestion.

Yes, I think that's the current situation.
I already using MSI Afterburner for undervolting, but the problem is my fans never stop when setting a fan curve, even after temperature drops to 35C, and i have searched for solutions everywhere, but no use.
Tried ASUS Tweak III, and no use either.
As for the BIOS Switch, It is already on the "P" Mode.
Thanks a lot for your help, I actually tried that, to make the fans spin as soon as it reaches 40C instead of waiting it reach to 60C, and suddenly jump to 80C because it was idle, but the problem is my fans never stop as soon as i tried to adjust it with Fan Curve, and i have tried every settings, but useless.
I don`t want to jeopardize it`s life span.
