The PSU might be affected by issues such as power supply instability, overheating, or a failing component.

I often see this person and it's hard to say for sure without someone similar looking at it—they're really intricate creatures! If the PSU is functioning well with the old graphics card, I question if it was the issue. You might want to check the power connector(s) and follow the signal to the VRMs, though even minor damage there doesn't necessarily mean the PSU caused the problem. Probably best to avoid handling it until you test it with the new PSU. Didn't receive it from a company like CEX that offers a warranty?

I found it on GPUsed, a site that specializes in selling second-hand parts.

They claim to offer a 30-day return period, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

They confirm it's possible, provided there are no issues. I reached out to them, and they mentioned a potential 50% discount if the PSU performed well.

It seems your power supply unit might not have been the issue, as it’s currently functioning properly. Still, getting at least a 50% refund would be preferable over nothing.

Absolutely, if the PSU didn’t cause any issues, I’m eligible for a full refund.

This often happens when the power supply fails and carries away the graphics card. A weak PSU is more prone to shutting down the entire system.

It seems like the outcome wasn't directly tied to your actions.
