The games run unevenly, lacking fluidity and high frame rates.
Hello, everyone! First time posting here. So, I have one very strange problem and I have searched a lot and a lot but nothing really helps. So my problem is that I'm playing games on 100+ FPS all the time (depends on the game, mostly around 120-140) but they feel really choppy when I'm moving my mouse fast. When I make some slow movements with the mouse It's not that bat and noticeable but when I start move fast, oh boy.. In CSGO its is most noticeable, here is a short clip: https://streamable.com/uiraw4 On the video its not that bad but in person, it's horrible. I've tried so many solutions, like change the usb ports of the mouse, play with the nvidia settings, gsync on/off, low latency on/off, vsync fast, disconnecting my 2nd monitor to see if there is any differences because I saw a bug that people were talking about a few years back, nothing helped. The strange thing is that when I played today CS:GO at 1 time I was dead and spectating a teammate and he started moving his mouse fast and noticed no choppy gameplay, it was smooth and I was like "wtf?". So here are my pc specs: asrock b450 fatality gaming ryzen 5 3600 gtx 1080 Kingston HyperX Fury 2x8GB 3200Mhz the mouse is steelseries rival 300, I have some good game pad, I tried using a different one but nothing changed. the monitor I'm using is Asus VG279Q, 27 144hz IPS. I'm noticing some ghosting imo but not really sure. Well, I'm not really posting into the forums but I really cannot find a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance and have a nice day.
Your computer supports 144 frames and a monitor built for that capacity—check if your mouse's polling rate needs updating.
It seems the adaptive sync feature isn't activated. You'll need to turn it on in both the display and the Nvidia settings menu. It's often missing when other functions are enabled, such as black frame insertion (check your monitor). Fast mouse movements usually lead to stuttering, and without a variable refresh rate, the display may crash.
I recommend using mega or eliminating the need to log in via Google for video playback. If you share the original file, mega will deliver it without compression—it’s impressive!
Also, double-check your settings: ensure Gsync is enabled, VSync is off, and your Nvidia configurations match the correct refresh rate. Confirm Gsync is functioning properly.
I experienced similar problems with Gsync in a different game (Tekken 7). I resolved it by randomly adjusting resolution and motion blur settings. It might help here, though it could vary depending on your specific game.
For optimal performance, I recommend these configurations: Gsync enabled, framerate cap at 160Hz for 165Hz, Vsync on with Low Latency mode set to Ultra. If smoothness isn't achieved, check for asset loading delays or memory constraints. Storage or input device problems may be the cause. Adjust polling rate and Windows sensitivity settings—keep Windows low and DPI high for better interpolation.
Hello, thanks for your message. Your mouse sensitivity is set to 1000, which seems to be the recommended level for G-Sync. I attempted to adjust the pooling rate but the issue persisted. It appears adaptive sync is active on your monitor and you have limited background functions, so it shouldn’t interfere. The indicator confirms it’s enabled.
Hello, I wasn't really aware that Google Drive required logins to access files. I moved the video to another platform for simpler access. I've used the pooling rate before, now it's set at 1000 – the difference seems minor. I experimented with various options: G-sync on/off, VSync on/off, low latency disabled/ultra. Still, no major impact. My current settings are unchanged except the FPS limiter is at 142, but I still experience choppy performance when moving my mouse quickly, especially in competitive games like CSGO and Valorant. Assets load unevenly as I move through the game world, causing frame drops. Recently, I upgraded to a Samsung SSD and installed everything, so I suspect the old HDD might be the issue. Regarding RAM, I've played with just one stick or dual-channel, but using one stick made my game stutter more noticeably, though not drastically. I attempted pooling rate adjustments, but nothing helped. Input device problems were also tried – no success. Maybe I'll try that again; I'm currently at 400 DPI and using around 2 sensors in-game. It seems unlikely to be a problem since many pros use similar settings. Apologies for posting multiple times, but I didn't intend to send a lengthy reply.
Yes, it sounds like you're asking if the speech is speaking in short, choppy sentences.
I don't understand how to describe it. The game doesn't freeze completely; it still processes files, but moving the mouse isn't smooth. It seems to run at 60Hz rather than the expected 144Hz. I've tested different settings and the system confirms it's running at 144Hz. The issue feels like tearing, ghosting, and low audio quality when the mouse moves quickly. I've checked the frame rate and hardware temperatures, everything looks normal. No frames are dropping, just a lack of smoothness.
Yes, the display will pause briefly approximately every fifteen seconds.
