I've encountered some performance problems with Forza Horizon 3, especially noticeable stuttering. While the game usually maintains around 60 FPS, it often crashes completely, causing CPU and GPU usage to plummet. When I recorded a video to show these issues, the game stopped working entirely. Despite driver updates and tweaks in the Nvidia control panel suggestions, the problem persists. I suspect the game may not be well-optimized for PC, even with an i5-2400 and 1050 processor. It should still run smoothly at the lowest settings on 720p, but it feels quite frustrating since it was a new purchase and I enjoyed playing it on my friend's Xbox.

Microsoft and PC optimization aren't always compatible, that's why.

How much RAM does it have? Is it using a hard drive or an SSD? What processes are active in the background? Horizon 3 functions well for me, though I have more recent hardware—maybe that’s the issue?

8GB storage available on the default drive, likely my boot SSD since it boots quickly. Only AB and Chrome are running without any background processes.

I faced the same problem. After upgrading to 16GB DDR3, it worked perfectly.

I plan to use the 8GB from my other PC and integrate it. It makes sense since a few years ago I faced problems with Watch Dogs running poorly on 4GB until I upgraded to 8.

This should function when the RAM is identical. Avoid combining different RAM modules.

RAM will function without issues, everything will operate at the pace of the slowest component.

I own the game and ran it with my PC using a 1080p display at medium to high settings. Everything worked fine without any issues. Of course, the most extreme fast cars cause some stuttering on my average PC, but it’s still manageable.
