Fortnite has successfully attracted many casual gamers and friends who aren’t into PC gaming, especially on mobile or consoles. I’ve played both PUBG and Fortnite, but each session lasted only about five hours. Understanding the controls is straightforward. The main criticism is a lack of action—players often feel like they’re just collecting items and fighting becomes less engaging compared to dedicated FPS titles. Team play didn’t significantly improve the experience either. Most games I enjoy, such as CS:GO and GTA, offer richer interactions and more dynamic gameplay. The problem here is that these popular maps focus heavily on scavenging and combat, whereas games like GTA and Skyrim provide a wealth of activities. Why aren’t developers leveraging their existing map assets with varied modes that offer faster-paced action? Despite finishing in the top ten a few times, the excitement remained lacking.

You need to find a balance where you can control the game and gain advantages. tl;dr - The speed depends on personal taste, but I believe Fortnite is much faster than you think. If you're skilled, you can take the lead and win several matches.
