This discussion isn't intended as a critique for Fortnite or PUBG fans who enjoy those titles. It's open to anyone who plays games they like, but it might be useful for active players to note the challenges they face. Fortnite has successfully attracted many casual gamers and friends who aren’t into PC gaming, especially on mobile or consoles. I’ve played both PUBG and Fortnite, but each session lasted only about five hours. Understanding the controls is straightforward. The main criticism is a lack of action—players often feel like they’re just collecting items and fighting becomes less engaging compared to dedicated FPS titles. Team play didn’t significantly improve the experience either. Most games I enjoy, such as CS:GO and GTA, offer richer interactions and more dynamic gameplay. The problem here is that these popular maps focus heavily on scavenging and combat, whereas games like GTA and Skyrim provide a wealth of activities. Why aren’t developers leveraging their existing map assets with varied modes that offer faster-paced action? Despite finishing in the top ten a few times, the excitement remained lacking.

If you find it dull, maybe you're not quite getting it. But remember, this is just a personal take. If it feels rushed, try playing Arma instead.

It's not always the best approach to act immediately; sometimes waiting a few minutes can be more effective. This seems pretty boring from where I'm looking.

Did you see my message? I got into the top 10 several times, but only played for a few hours and felt uninterested. I don’t like the slow progress and low returns.

It really doesn't matter the outcome, as long as you liked it, keep playing. If not, try another game and you don't need to inform others about your dislike.

Fortnite runs significantly quicker than PUBG due to its smaller map size and other factors. This explains why players often choose Fortnite:BR instead of PUBG—it's swift and thrilling. When you lose or eventually win, you can easily switch to another game and continue playing. For me, I get frustrated after a long period of gathering and then dying to the first player I meet. Because of this, I don’t enjoy PUBG as much as Fortnite does. Another point is that Fortnite is free, which makes it more appealing. In reality, Fortnite offers a more engaging experience compared to many Battle Royale titles. Sure, CSGO can be intense when you're aggressive, but it doesn't always succeed since opponents adapt. You need to find a balance where you can control the game and gain advantages. tl;dr - The speed depends on personal taste, but I believe Fortnite is much faster than you think. If you're skilled, you can take the lead and win several matches.

I understand your perspective. Battle royale can feel a bit repetitive, especially with PUBG. While Fortnite offers more dynamic gameplay, none of the titles provide the same consistent thrill. In games like Skyrim and GTA, you have a wide range of activities to choose from in expansive open environments. In contrast, PUBG and similar titles typically focus on looting, combat, or fleeing to the next round. It’s why I play Overwatch most often—it’s enjoyable and fits my relaxed style with friends. Starting with PUBG gave me a different experience that matched what I was seeking.

I believe Activision's approach with CoD will appeal to you more than PUBG's intense gameplay, thanks to its strategic elements. The action could use some refinement, and the weapons would benefit from improved mechanics. I haven't played Fortnite yet because its style feels too lighthearted for my taste.
