I tried PUBG once, and the biggest thing I saw was how slow everything moves. If battles don’t end quickly in Fortnite, it’s hard to know what’s going on—unless you’re looking for some excitement, just jump into a tilted area where half the map is dead.

The same reason solitare isn't a first-person shooter is its deliberate pace and focused challenges. You're aiming for a more casual feel—run fast, take down targets, repeat. It's about quick reflexes and strategy rather than long battles. I prefer games like Pubg because they offer a different kind of engagement. You really need to think ahead; if you spot someone in cover, that's your main priority. The endgame often unfolds on a foggy map with many players, making stealth and positioning key. Crossbow and VSS were my favorites since I felt strong there.

PUBG runs much slower compared to Fortnite, with Fortnite loading times about a third of PUBG's.

Different stroke for different folks I guess. However I would argue that with the exception of netcode the mechanics of gun battles in PUBG far surpass that of CS:GO. No ADS or ability to lean is a deal breaker for me in CS, also the closed nature of the maps just makes the game feel really lacking and restricted. I loved CS back in the day and was excited when GO came out but as soon as I played it realised how much more there is to big scale shooters these days. There is also a lot more strategy with regards to positioning and movement, not just learning the small map and where to point your gun at what time because that's where the enemies are at the same time every game. I agree that there are pacing issues in BR games, but the quiet time makes the gun battles all the more exciting imo.

I enjoy it a bit but not completely. I believe it’s better with a complete team and might look more appealing in a group of 16 to 32 players divided into teams of four. I also think it could be more exciting in a game with 4-player squads. It feels like just another trend like dayZ.

Fortnite, PUBG, and Radical Heights can take on any vibe you want. You might try staying out late and avoiding gunfights just to make it interesting. When I first started Fortnite, I focused mainly on winning games. Now that I have more wins and don’t see winning as essential, I jump right into hunting after getting a weapon. Visiting popular spots in the game keeps things exciting because you’ll always face opponents trying to take you down. Dusty Divot (Duysty Depot) in Fortnite is intense—like Tilted Towers. Entering it gives you a thrilling experience; surviving the early rush often leads to 6 to 10 kills within the first three minutes.

I feel disconnected from Battle Royales. I'm stuck playing Fortnite with a friend since he can't afford to try other games.
