Completed and done—this was the first test I shared, I disabled TB since then and everything works much better! Now on 1.04, left my Mips to the game default and it runs smoothly on my 290.
Works well, I might adjust the mips tweak later, but it seems doable.
IKR!!! The game is really clever (as it's designed) even though it's a bit similar to FC3 in a different setting. I prefer this kind of backstory over the rich kids' tale from FC3, it's way better. I didn't like the rich kids' story at all, they're just annoying. But a dying mother's last wish feels perfect!
yep there's no point upgrading because of Ubisoft games. It's not your hardware. They stutter for loads of people across various configurations including high end. Watchdogs, AC Unity, FC4- all have microstutter. Some people seem to be worse affected than others but anyway it's now an expected feature of Ubisoft games. It's sad because they make decent games; but they cannot get them to work properly.
FC3 and FC4 both show similar problems, but FC3 has a microstuttering effect that hasn't been resolved. In FC4 it's more noticeable. You can see frame time spikes in both titles, yet there are no obvious FPS drops shown by the counter. The issue seems consistent even at 980 FPS.
