I purchase Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition from Steam, and the next day it's available at no cost. I also have that, but my system entries are conflicting.

It's exactly what you mentioned, starting it in Steam unlocks Uplay, which then requests the key. I'm going to try contacting their support, but I'm already finished with them.

I also faced issues with Farcry 3 Blood Dragon. Eventually, I had to modify the game to make it playable. It's a bit unclear, but I purchased the game; the uplay was faulty, so I needed to repair it somehow.
