Do you have a tailored OC? It seems your BIOS might not be current, or the motherboard could need a custom OC. Is this something AC has done before, or is it new? Are other games doing the same? I’m leaning toward resetting the CMOS, saving the XMP settings, and confirming the Turbo is still configured properly.
The BIOS has been updated from version 1203 to 1301. I've just begun playing AC, while other games haven't done this yet. I don’t have any custom overclock settings.
Cover cap secured. VSync tested both with and without it. I posted a thread on Ubisoft Forums, but haven’t received any official reply yet—it looks like it’s been buried there. The unusual part was that I ran it on my older machine, which is much weaker than my main rig, and it actually performed better: Makes no sense :S
