this is the configuration list
my performance drops significantly in csgo or valorant, reaching around 150 to 200 fps before it suddenly falls to 80 and then rises again. this pattern occurs consistently. i've tested various games like rocket league and maintained a stable fps of 250 to 300, without any interruptions. i considered possible causes such as ram issues, but the drops didn't happen for those games. for rocket league there were no problems, so i focused on the monitor – free sync wouldn't apply here. it’s unclear why this happens with these specs.

The system GPU is fine, but the remaining components fall short.

Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 5 3350G Quad Core CPU with Radeon Graphics (3.6GHz-4.0GHz/6MB CACHE/AM4)
This CPU is a quad-core model. It lacks integrated graphics, which is unusual since it's designed to run without a dedicated GPU. A modern system should have at least a 6-core processor with multiple threads. This setup is outdated.

Memory (RAM)
8GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2400MHz (1 x 8GB)
You're using only 8GB of RAM, which is insufficient for most games. Current recommendations suggest 16GB or more to avoid performance issues.

Unless this is a problem that can be fixed via LAN settings, as I see it mentioned a lot with online games like specifically CSGO and Valorant , I would say your RAM may be at least partly the issue. The "Infinity Fabric" of Ryzen CPUs is very dependent on high RAM speed to function with the least amount of latency. For that reason it is recommended to have at least 3200 speed RAM for Ryzens. Ryzens are quite a bit higher latency than Intel even when paired with such RAM, but without it, extremely high.

The Ryzen 3600 offers 6 cores with a minimum of 12 threads. It's not a quad-core processor. For those with funds, consider the 5600X which provides 6 cores and 12 threads.
Equipment: 2x8GB RAM kit running at 3200/3600MHz CL16.
Power supply: Corsair CX 650 Watts or any superior Corsair model (CX -> TXM -> RM -> RMX).

If the system were commonly used for high-end graphics titles, I would agree, but the mentioned games don't require more than six CPU cores or a lot of RAM. In fact, adding dual-channel RAM might offer little advantage over stronger games. Still, I understand that a Ryzen processor benefits from faster RAM to maintain smooth performance across all games. Without it, you risk significant frame rate drops and unstable performance.

Check out some Valorant 2 videos comparing cores and RAM sizes, particularly focusing on Single Memory Channel setups. I don't suggest using quad-core processors in 2021. It's time for that to fade away. Of course, I'm not denying the point, but a quad core plus an 8GB RAM setup is no longer ideal for gaming systems.

If you're talking about a video with that title, it’s understandable why you’d feel that way—it can be quite confusing. The comparison between an E8400 and even a Ryzen R5 1600 feels outdated, and the first-gen Ryzen model wasn’t particularly impressive either. That’s likely why the creator didn’t let the video be embedded or linked. There are definitely many low-quality videos on YouTube in general.
