it appears in the FAQ section for B.E.T.A. My view is that it bothers me to now handle another client just to play a PC game. Oh yeah, that's what I'm thinking. We'll need separate clients for each top-tier title soon.
Bethesda retains most of the earnings, while Steam doesn't significantly erode them.
It could be a system that displays your current games, lets you start any you want, launches the appropriate client, and automatically shuts down after playback ends. It might be named something such as GMI "Game Management Interface"
