The setup should follow a 5-5-4.8-4.8 pattern, but performance drops below 5GHz on any core during TurboBoost. It might indicate an issue with the motherboards on both machines. Could you share the model you're using?

Achieving around 38°C idle and 80°C under full load for exporting videos or photos works. The room temperature is roughly 30°C. There seems to be no way to pick just one thread in Aida64; the settings don’t offer that option.

I accessed the BIOS and reviewed my per-core boost numbers: 50, 50, 49, 48, 47, 47, 47, 47. I adjusted them manually to verify proper application. After that, I tested Cinebench R15 single-core, and it still reported around 4.9GHz. It seems the issue lies in applications forcing other threads into turbo mode, which limits performance on fewer cores. Would you like me to explore disabling 6 cores next?

Visit the BIOS settings and adjust every core to 50. This will make them operate at 5 GHz. After that, check stability—it won’t reach 5 GHz by default since the total core speed is capped at 4.7 GHz.

I started today and noticed a maximum boost of 5GHz across several cores. No explanation for this change, as I haven't made any adjustments since my last update. Six out of eight cores briefly reached 5GHz a few times. Besides manually setting the 1-core and 2-core Turbo Boost to 50%, I also raised the "time" limit for those boosts to the highest allowed value. Of course, this only benefits users with BIOS settings that allow it. I've attached HWiNFO64 data showing this.

He mentioned it makes sense since the program runs on multiple threads. The P95 boost isn’t limited to a single core, and single-core boosts are rare because Windows keeps handling background tasks with threads.

This information is quite misleading. No criticism of Intel for this behavior since they clearly stated it. Suggestion #2: Test by disabling all but three BIOS cores to verify performance. I assembled my setup this morning and noticed the 9900k was already operating at 5GHz right out of the box. That’s hard to believe!
