Find the BIOS settings and switch SATA mode from AHCI to ATA. It should work afterward.

I'll try it, though I believe AHCI applies mainly to SATA devices and not NVME.

I believe I needed to update it for installing POP OS on my XPS 15.

I faced the same problem, but mine stemmed from the drive being in raid mode. Switching to AHCI resolved the issue where no hard drive was detected. I suspect I accidentally reset my default settings during a boot order adjustment, which took me several hours to correct. User mistakes contributed here. Also, ensure you're creating the USB bootable in DD—this makes a significant difference.

I successfully changed from RAID to AHCI in the BIOS settings. My laptop is now dual-booted. Appreciate the help!
