Find the BIOS settings and switch SATA mode from AHCI to ATA. It should work afterward.

I faced the same problem, but mine stemmed from the drive being in raid mode. Switching to AHCI resolved the issue where no hard drive was detected. I suspect I accidentally reset my default settings during a boot order adjustment, which took me several hours to correct. User mistakes contributed here. Also, ensure you're creating the USB bootable in DD—this makes a significant difference.
