The computer stopped working and won't start.
I was operating my PC today and encountered a freezing issue. There were no heavy applications running. I couldn't use the mouse or keyboard, the headphones became stuck at a certain frequency, and the power button on the case didn't work. So I had to shut down the main power switch. When I tried to open the PC, the fans in the case and GPU started spinning, the RGB lights activated, but nothing changed. The keyboard lights didn't function, the monitor failed to detect a signal, the mouse RGB lights were unresponsive but the sensor light on the bottom remained active. I checked for loose cables, GPU, RAM, and slots—nothing resolved the problem. After replacing the CMOS battery and reinserting it, the same behavior occurred, with the system turning off every 30 seconds before restarting. Could anyone help identify the cause?

It's not easy to tell immediately, but something like this has happened before. The CPU stopped working without any alerts. Don't worry just yet—it might not be the same issue. First, consider removing unnecessary parts. Keep only the power supply, CPU, motherboard, and RAM. Connect your monitor to the motherboard's port and skip the drives. Aim to start in BIOS. If you still can't boot, try using just one RAM stick and test it in each slot one by one. Still no success? You likely have a faulty motherboard, CPU, PSU, or RAM. Unless you can replace it with a known good part, you're stuck here. If you manage to enter BIOS, try adding components one at a time until you identify the problem. Good luck.
I attempted to eliminate extra parts, but the system still won<|pad|>.
Currently, I think the motherboard might be the main issue. Nothing else comes to mind. Even if your windows were completely frozen after the crash, it wouldn't stop you from accessing BIOS.
Right after I sent my reply and turned on my computer, it seemed like things didn’t go as planned. My PC is having the same issue too. I’ve already tried all the methods suggested, including replacing my CMOS battery. Unfortunately, I don’t have any parts available for testing. Good news though—I think there’s a trustworthy local hardware shop nearby that provides diagnostic services. I’ll reach out to them soon.
