The computer screen shuts down during gaming?
Hello, I've just upgraded my graphics card and encountered the same problem, it also occurred with the previous one.
My computer shuts down while playing games; the screen shows no signal and then turns off completely. After a short pause, the game sounds continue briefly before becoming static. It only restarts when I power it off and turn it back on.
I've noticed that newer titles (Watch Dogs 3) cause this within 10 to 20 minutes of starting, while older games like CSGO take around 40 to 50 minutes.
I've checked the CPU and GPU temperatures—GPU temps are around 85-86°C just before the crash, and the CPU is normal.
Could there be another factor at play? I've confirmed the card issue hasn't occurred with the old one either.
Details about the system:
CPU: Core i5-10400
Board: ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4
GPU: RTX 3070 8GB
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Display: 4K monitor
Could also attempt to simply wait and observe whether it occurs on the PC when idle.
It doesn't occur when the system is idle. However, it occurred within approximately three minutes during the 3DMark time monitoring.
What is the precise PSU you have? You omitted that detail, but if the temperatures are acceptable, it's probably the main reason for these issues while playing.
It's a cooler master silent pro semimodular 1000W power supply. I replaced it after upgrading the card; the previous one was 600W, so I believe this isn't the PSU since the change occurred with the prior card and the PSU itself.
