Details: Mobo model ASUS ROG Strix X570-E GPU, RTX 3070 CPU, Ryzen 7 5800x RAM, 64GB DDR4 at 3600MHz, 3dmark score linked. I've reinstalled Windows, updated drivers and BIOS, changed NVIDIA control panel settings, and re-seated the GPU—still no improvement. Recently it worked for about a year until a crash occurred with an orange DRAM light; I replaced the RAM then. Any advice?

Did you set up EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner to monitor temperatures and clock speeds? Are you checking if the 3070 is being utilized? Was your display connected via the motherboard’s video port or directly to the GPU?

You’re asking for detailed information. It seems you’re dealing with overheating concerns and need recommendations for components like an SSD, case, or cooler. The 5800X might be causing thermal issues.

Even under heavy pressure, the OP could achieve a score above 900 for the 3D mark… but I understand the point. We still require additional details.

The Ryzen 7 5800x lacks built-in graphics, yet its score suggests it might be using them instead of the 3070. The CPU rating seems acceptable, supporting the idea that the problem lies with the 3070. Based on the steps he's already followed, overheating or a fault in the 3070 appears likely.

Connected to the GPU A section of the afterburner code — heat stays below 60°C regardless of full GPU usage

The information you need is available in the link. Temperatures are usually low, but the CPU is clocking at 7GHZ. It seems we should gather more details—first, is this running at default settings or with special configurations?

The motherboard received 25 BIOS updates since its release, have you installed any of those?

Absolutely, it increases GPU usage significantly even during video playback, which suggests the issue isn't related to manual tweaks. It seems the system is still operating on default settings.
