I’m really bored and haven’t played it in a couple of weeks. It feels like the same thing over and over again. Same content, same issues—loading screens with awkward moments, repetitive actions. I don’t really like that kind of futuristic shooter vibe. I did enjoy Mw3 and BAL2 campaign, but now they don’t interest me at all. The intro during loading is annoying, especially when characters take off their masks while everyone else keeps theirs on. Is it just the single-player mode that feels dull, or is it something else? Maybe I’m just getting older and prefer different types of games. I like BF4 multiplayer and enjoyed the campaign too.

Press F to show appreciation... Yet honestly, the campaign in bf4 wasn't particularly unique.

You're still young. The issue is you've purchased the lowest FPS game. Call of Duty is terrible since CoD:6 and nothing will improve that. Don't even consider buying it. Instead, do some research and discover other first-person shooters. CoD and Battlefield aren't the only options.

I didn't purchase it just to see how it would work on my PC, but in the end I'm relieved it wasn't a good fit. Are there any other FPS games you'd recommend? I really enjoy BF4 and BF3—I've always liked open warfare. I was considering Planetside 2, but the Counterstrike series feels too intense for me; it has too many hardcore players and doesn't offer quick respawns or zooming abilities.

I'd explore Far Cry 3/4, Bioshock, and Metro series—Metro seems to be the top pick among what I've considered.

The situation doesn't improve. Suggesting Far Cry 3/4, Bioshock, and GTA with first-person mods is a good choice.

I've enjoyed Bioshock Infinite and played around six hours of Bioshock Original. I need to set it up on my gaming PC and copy the save file from my laptop—really cool game. I also played Far Cry 3, which I really liked, especially the mission to repair the ship inside the caves. That part was tough for me; the ship was in a cave atop a mountain, and there was no way out or to the sea. I'm planning to try Far Cry 4 and see if it's fixed from when I first tried it. I also played Metro Last Light on 360—it worked well, but I haven't tried Metro 1 yet. Thanks for your responses!

None of the combat missions stand out as exceptional, yet there’s a certain appeal to them. The expansive spaces and the chaos of destruction draw me in. COD titles often feel tightly confined compared to other experiences.

A solid multiplayer shooter can be seen in games like Heroes & Generals. It leans toward a steady combat style, yet remains enjoyable. The game is free to play. There are numerous excellent singleplayer FPS titles as well. As you mentioned, Bioshock, Far Cry, Metro, Bulletstorm, Borderlands, Fallout, Red Orchestra, Rage and others...

The mirrors edge is worth exploring; while FPS numbers aren't the main focus, the experience remains enjoyable and engaging.
