The name clearly indicates the specifications. It asks whether it can handle 2667MHz similar to the 1600AE or 2933MHz like the 2600, without mentioning an XMP profile.

Without xmp it operates at 2133, just like the remaining processors. Activate xmp to achieve faster RAM performance.

you prefer not to use xmp because every ram operates smoothly at 2133mhz without it. manufacturers recommend enabling xmp only when needed for optimal performance, but many don’t implement it by default.

2667Mhz is the default, but on startup it often defaults to 2133Mhz because that’s the lowest safe frequency. https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-1600

I prefer not to push the motherboard beyond its limits to avoid canceling the warranty. The XMP profile might still affect it, even on an Asrock B450M-PRO4.

Not every situation applies. Certain processors are designed to handle faster rates by default. You can locate DIMMs with JEDEC 2666 SPD profiles on them that will start up at 2400/2666 MHz without needing any XMP/DOCP settings. Even though it’s a 12nm chip and relies on the 2600, its IMC is officially approved for 2667 MHz. Based on the DIMM you select, you might have to apply an XMP profile to reach those frequencies, though some come pre-set at 2666. Remember that point.

Tell no one in customer service about the overclocking. That keeps it under wraps. "Have you turned on XMP?" "Not yet."

Initially, they aren't sure whether you increased the clock speed, so you can simply claim it wasn't done and they won't know. Also, most motherboards allow faster rates, typically up to 3200Mhz, without breaking the warranty. This is the recommended memory for your board. Notice there are many options that don't mention overclocking—like 2666, which is the top you can realistically get if you prefer not to adjust it.

I placed the order for the 1600AF, which I believe is actually Pinnacle Ridge according to my understanding. For Pinnacle Ridge, 2933mhz is the OC setting. If they don’t notice I was using XMP mode, I’ll likely proceed that way.

No, entering XMP mode doesn't reduce the MOBO's lifespan.
