Hey everyone, here’s the latest. I attempted to re-flash the BIOS again but it didn’t work. The same problem persists. I also tried Overdrive, which boosts performance nicely—just like before. Temperatures stay around 52°C with a 30°C room temp, which is normal. The main hurdle is that I can’t adjust memory and NB clocks. I needed those settings to push the clock above 3.6GHz, but I’ll keep it at 3.6 for now. It seems the BIOS has some issues. Thanks for your support! I’ll update you on any changes or fixes.

Recent update: After trying to restart my PC with the "Keep settings on reboot" option in Overdrive, the same issue occurred. The BIOS froze with the "CPU Speed=0.00 MHz" message. I had to reset the BIOS to be able to boot into Windows because it was an overclock. It seems the AM3+ socket and 990FX chipset aren’t compatible with my old Phenom II, which is odd since my previous motherboard also used AM3+. Overclocking just doesn’t seem to work well here. This makes me question why I chose a 990FX board at all. Maybe a cheaper 760G chipset motherboard would have been better. It’s been seven years since then. I just wanted my old Phenom to find a better home. I’m considering getting a FX 6000 or 8000 series processor to confirm it’s the motherboard issue, not my CPU acting up on a 990FX board—though I know it can overclock in Windows and run stably with AIDA64 and Prime95. I’ll reach out to Gigabyte after that, but how should I contact them?

Gigabyte might indicate overclocking isn’t supported technically... So your chances could be limited. If you’re considering an alternative, you might try updating the BIOS on an older version of the board—perhaps newer versions have issues.
The board clearly only supports one BIOS version, which means if Gigabyte doesn't act, the situation is favorable for him.
This board is fairly new, launched last year, which means updates are likely soon. For overclocking, I currently run stock and increase the multiplier to 18x when needed for gaming or editing. I've already contacted Gigabyte via their website, but they seem unhelpful. Disassembling the system after a recent rebuild is really time-consuming. I'm planning to wait about a year for any BIOS updates before proceeding. If they arrive, that's fine; if not, I'll rely on the three-year warranty.
Restarting the Thread on the same motherboard with similar problems. The system lay idle for years because of BIOS issues. V1board was replaced under warranty to install V2 Latest bios. The default voltage is too low for the Fx8320 1.425 min or a bit higher—much higher and it fails on stock coolers. There’s a BIOS bug when extreme profile isn’t set or crashes, causing power-on power-off reset to fix. On the Fx8320 4.2ghz, my issue is Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2 sticks overclock; 4 sticks at 32gb don’t work. This board is known for problems, I’m curious if the VRM limits are affecting performance with two 500W supplies—unless the power supply is underperforming, it’s confusing.
