The AC Syndicate could face imminent collapse.
The AC Syndicate could face imminent collapse.
I won't commit until I check some reviews, not until after my weekend research.
Many individuals show strong enthusiasm for this series and its narrative, yet they appear to have significantly harmed their reputation through actions aligned with assassin's creed unity.
Absolutely no one is interested in it anymore. I used to love playing AC fans, but they ruined the whole series. They wiped out the story in AC3 so they could release games yearly, and AC Unity barely worked at all. There’s really no incentive to buy these titles, especially given how Ubisoft manages their issues. They never patch AC Unity or Watchdogs properly, and they don’t communicate with fans. Even Uplay’s cloud saves keep breaking because their servers go down during updates, corrupting files.
Honestly, I’d love to dive into Assassin’s Creed… but they’re releasing them too fast now that I’m still stuck on Assassin’s Creed 3 (2012). As someone who doesn’t just breeze through games in a series, I won’t be buying another AC title at launch again. Really, annual releases have ruined my experience with the franchise.
It looks like many are feeling down about the series lately, especially after Unity. It’s understandable to feel pessimistic, but we should wait for the actual game before making judgments. Spending time focusing on negativity isn’t helpful when the outcome is still uncertain. Let’s hope Ubisoft has grown from Unity and delivers something better.
All series need to conclude, yet it’s disappointing to see people pushing for endings just because they don’t enjoy them or play them. It’s hard to picture how many games would still exist if publishers truly valued this perspective. If there’s interest, it should matter, otherwise there’s no point in spending time debating. The real discussion should center on whether developers invest enough effort or have the time to craft quality games. Pre-ordering feels risky these days; finance teams often pressure creators to release quickly, hoping short-term sales will sustain them. As a result, products tend to be flawed, with early releases mainly focused on quick fixes rather than polished experiences. I’ve played AC and AC before and enjoyed them, but I haven’t had the chance yet—right now I’m too busy.
Ubisoft has made some changes, like bringing back Uplay with Driver: San Francisco and From Dust after previous disappointments. Did they really improve?
