Temperature changes in CPU Monitor performance stability Identify potential overheating issues
Your CPU temperatures change rapidly without any obvious cause. Opening a browser tab can trigger sudden spikes, and increased fan speed during startup is normal. The high temps suggest potential overheating issues that may need attention. 3700X on stock cooler indicates it's working but could benefit from optimization.
Did you alter the thermal paste prior to installing the cooler? How fast does it take to rise from 45°C to 60°C?
These problems fall within typical performance ranges for Ryzen 3000 models. My main concern would be if the maximum temperatures approach 90°C. You should tweak the fan curve to prevent excessive speed changes. It’s possible to stay around 40°C and reach 53°C just by browsing online. When opening Blender, it can spike up to 64°C and possibly even 73°C during startup. Prime95 load temperatures never exceeded 70°C, so I no longer worry about that metric.
Within a brief moment I encountered some installation issues, though the movement felt smooth. The thermal paste seems intact.
