Technical problems with graphics card performance
Hi Everyone I just installed a new system using a TUF 4090 and am facing some problems. Under light usage everything works perfectly, hitting the advertised speeds and running smoothly. Problems appear when the GPU is stressed, like launching a game or doing a stress test. Then the clock speeds drop sharply and freeze at around 210 MHz before the system crashes completely—usually within 30 seconds to a couple of minutes. I suspect the power delivery unit is limiting performance, as the card only handles about 85 Watts under load. I've checked connections to the PSU, card, and cables (four 8-pin PCIe cables), but nothing has improved. I'm not sure what to do next, any advice would be really helpful.
It seems the system draws a significant amount of power even with basic components, indicating a potential power problem. Consider switching to a different PCIe slot and using an alternative power splitter if needed.
