System thread exception not managed properly Error reported during BSOD handling
The issue is severe—I can't access Windows at all. I immediately experience this BSOD. Logging in with safe mode doesn't help either. It's really frustrating. Any assistance would be appreciated.
If it functions in safe mode, the problem likely lies with hardware. Begin by resetting CMOS as @Tan3l6 recommended, then reapply XMP settings to your RAM. If this doesn't resolve the issue, attempt to test each RAM stick by booting with only one installed to identify a faulty component.
If the problem lies with the driver, it shouldn't fail when entering safe mode. Removing CMOS is a solid first step.
Did you disconnect the power source before removing the battery? When you mention shorting the pins, are you referring to the CMOS jumper? You should perform just one of these actions, not both. If you remove the battery, keep the power button pressed on your PC to dissipate any remaining power. It’s usually safer to leave the battery in and the device unplugged for about half an hour. Make sure you didn’t attempt to remove the battery while the power supply was active, as that could damage your motherboard.
