I just updated my PC and it won’t go through the log screen anymore. It starts up but doesn’t progress. I tried reseating the RAM and GPU, but nothing changed. I’m using Windows 11. The blue recovery option appears, but reformatting the PC still doesn’t fix the issue. Can you help?

Consider starting with a new setup from a USB drive. Look for someone to assist, such as a friend, library staff, or a repair shop, and request they help generate a Windows installation media.

I mean adjusting the settings or restarting the system. If that’s what you meant, I suggest reinstalling Windows from a fresh USB drive. To do this: Create a Windows installation USB using the Windows media creation tool on another device and a spare USB stick. Boot from the USB stick.

You confirmed what I finished by creating a bootable USB drive.

It works properly on the home screen after boot, but after installing the GPU drivers it restarts to a black screen again. You're using a 3070 graphics card.

Just confirming, are you sure only one monitor is connected? It seems like the GPU might be having issues. Do you have another GPU available for testing? If so, try using the RTX 3070 and see if it works. If not, consider returning it for repair. You may also want to boot with both GPUs and check the display adapter in Device Manager for any warnings or error codes under the RTX 3070. A Code 43 indicates a problem. Alternatively, you could install an older driver version that you recall functioning on your system.

The vertical GPU mount was causing issues even after a fresh Windows installation, but connecting the GPU directly resolved the problem. Appreciate the assistance!

Your riser cable appears limited to PCI-E 3.0 specifications. Adjusting the BIOS settings to match that speed may resolve the issue. If you succeed, congratulations!
