There are numerous approaches to consider. Make sure your bios is updated, install the latest chipset drivers, refresh GPU drivers, run an AV scan, add new RAM (finally), upgrade the CPU. It makes sense that they’re not eager about these changes, but ultimately there are just a few steps involved. The key point is that Vengeance RAM =

It's completely reasonable to question that. The issue might not be with the CPU or RAM, but rather something else affecting the GPU performance. There could be other factors at play that aren't immediately obvious.

BIOS is running the most recent stable release, not a beta version. Chipset and GPU drivers need the latest updates unless a new release slipped past me. I've tried reinstalling using DDU, but Windows Defender still reports nothing. Luckily, I'm close to a MicroCenter. How crucial is it that the memory manufacturer part number matches exactly in the Compatibility List? For instance, with this Trident Z RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3600 PC4-28800 CL18, I don't see it listed.

I previously used a 1070ti without any issues, maintaining the same configuration since the 3700X launch in 2019. The only change was replacing the 1070ti with a 7800x on October 16th. It functioned smoothly until November 17th, when I experienced unexpected reboots and Event Viewer warnings.

It's true, but the information provided doesn't address the root cause of the issue.

It's been a month, which is strange but not impossible—maybe a GPU driver problem. Did you have an older driver installed? Reverting it might help.

I had a different GPU driver before, but I installed the latest one right away when CoD MWIII was released. Around November 10th, I updated the drivers. Going back to an older version hasn't been something I've attempted...

I also noticed Overwatch has become difficult to play with the new GPU. I’m only managing around ~65 frames per second, and it keeps stuttering heavily. Yes, I’ve double-checked all my settings and resolution, and even after exiting the game, it lingers in memory as shown in Task Manager until I close it forcefully.

simple solution: purchase an NVIDIA GPU. it’s clear a GPU/driver problem exists by now, and attempting to locate a compatible driver or replacing the GPU isn’t within my skill set. I stick to NVIDIA products only (curious why).
