So far, it seems my computer restarts unexpectedly, especially when idle or during gaming. I've checked everything: left it on without any peripherals connected, performed stress tests on the GPU, CPU, and power supply, scanned for malware, looked for corrupt files, and even swapped the PSU cable multiple times. I also tried plugging it into different power outlets and external cases. Eventually, returning it to the store resolved the issue—they said they fixed it and that when idle it didn’t crash for two days straight. In my event viewer, crashes appear as "Event 41, Kernel Power" with various warnings like "DistributedCOM," "User Device Registration," and "WHEA-Logger." When I returned the PC, they replaced most components but it kept crashing. I’m still looking for advice or solutions from others.

I’m more wondering if they’re just tweaking a few configurations—probably some BIOS settings—that could point to a software issue rather than a hardware problem. It’s not impossible, but I’m not sure it’s something as precise as you’re suggesting. Just a thought to consider.

They didn't mention specific settings but I observed they disabled Virtualization, Secure Boot, and there was no indication of any other configurations.

Verify your power and sleep configurations, ensuring high performance mode is active and Sleep, Hibernation, and Display Auto Turn Off are all turned off (set to Never). Secure Boot shouldn't interfere with these settings or trigger the errors you're seeing. Keep it enabled. Based on similar problems I've encountered, the power supply unit is likely the issue—possibly due to a faulty outlet or the Gigabyte PB series PSUs, which have been receiving many complaints. If switching to a different wall outlet doesn't resolve the problem, consider replacing the PSU entirely. This should be my next troubleshooting step, particularly given the errors you're experiencing. I suggest a 650W or higher 80+ Gold unit from a reputable brand.

Thanks for your response. I'll definitely review the settings soon. I've already tried switching wall outlets, but they're positioned very close together—maybe I'll consider an outlet in another room later. Regarding the power supply, it was my initial idea, but when I handed it over to the company, they suggested replacing it. They tried that too, but it keeps crashing.

Do you have any information about your crash logs or the power source? It seems the problem might be related to power supply. Could you confirm if you're using a surge protector or connecting the PSU directly to the wall? Also, consider updating Windows if the issue appears to be software-related.

We’ll likely return the PC to the shop soon, and if that doesn’t work, I might attempt a fresh Windows installation. I’ve also observed something odd: after returning the PC for repair, I left it idle with no connections and it crashed within a few hours. Then I swapped the PSU cable and the socket, which allowed it to stay idle for 14 hours overnight—until it crashed again when I started using it. Yesterday, with the monitor unplugged, it stayed idle for 20 hours but crashed once I resumed use.

Can I capture an image? My guess is a PSU or mainboard problem; but it could also be a thermal issue elsewhere.

This definitely feels like a PSU, especially after spending a lot of time in the industry. I really think the people examining it at that company lack proper understanding.

I checked messages from friends and saw my PC failing long before Windows 11 arrived. The issues began around 1-4 days after the purchase, though it was hard to pinpoint exactly. Should I contact the company to replace my PSU and see if that resolves it?
