It feels like only a few milliseconds are causing issues, not just slow response times. That’s definitely not normal lag—what’s happening here? Can you share some situations where this occurs?
yeah something is completely off - however, if its really *5-15 seconds* i can believe something off with the drivers, system settings etc... (since they're also getting the yellow sign for driver malfunction...) @ObilvionNizer also, do you live in a big city or more rural area...?
He can attempt this method... the only solution I know is using a Voodoo driver hack to make the DS4 controller function properly on my PC once it's connected wirelessly.
I've never faced any issues with DS4 wired on my PC, aside from Windows automatically switching it as the default audio source and it losing power after being connected. It's a real disappointment not being able to use it wired, especially since some games fully support its haptics when plugged in.
DS4 only has rumble feedback, which functions adequately. However, I’m puzzled about why it failed after switching devices. On my previous motherboard it occurred occasionally with the new one lasting a month before stopping completely. I’ve tested multiple DS4 units and even an old dongle that previously worked on the older board.
I think you mainly experience basic rumble effects via Bluetooth, while fully enjoying haptic feedback—audio translated into vibrations, resistance buttons, and motion detection when connected directly. (The latter is especially surprising since it only functions wired, even though it would be more handy wirelessly.) It works with Sony PS5 games on PC and many cross-platform titles, especially those from Ubisoft.
DS 4 is actually a PS4 controller. I also own some PS5 and Ubisoft games, but that's all.
I don't understand why I missed it when I noticed the light triangle. It should have been clear.
Yeah, not sure either! My top controllers are DS3 (all messed up in odd ways, usually one or more buttons), DS2 which is the best, and I own a few others that still function but have some strange PC setup issues. The Xbox 360 controller I like is wired, but it’s broken—probably just a cable problem, maybe fixable. I also have another wireless one, though it needs a big dongle and uses batteries that keep changing. My Razer Wolverine v2 is wired and my go-to; it works perfectly except for the low quality build (1/10).
I'm PS5, Xbox One/Series, DS4, Xbox Duke Its not that my hands are huge, but I have circulation problems that leads to instacramp on most controllers. The Gamecube controller is quite comfortable but due to its unique button layout isn't very useful. I found DS1-3 cramped my hands badly. Steam Deck is the first portable I can use for more than 5 minutes without agonising pain.
